Since the introduction of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, premises management have a legal obligation to manage the fire safety of their buildings ensuring there is adequate warning and protection from fire. Our team are highly trained by all of the major fire alarm manufacturers as well as holding certification from the Fire Industry Association in design, maintenance and installation of fire alarm systems. We have vast experience in working to BS5839:2017 in both residential and commercial situations.


Sentinel specialise in the installation of fire alarm systems ranging from small conventional systems through to multi panel network addressable systems with complex cause and effect. We understand that the client may not always be aware of what is required for their building. Sentinel are happy to work with you from concept through to handover every step of the way to ensure that you are getting a system that meets your exact needs. All works are carried out to the very latest standards applicable and unlike some companies, we only install open protocol equipment meaning that you are not tied in to using one particular supplier. Unlike some, we do not place any codes on our systems meaning that you are free to choose exactly who you want to work on your system.
All of our team are experienced with working on a multitude of different sites. All engineers carry a ECS card and revisit health and safety training on a regular basis meaning you can be sure that the works carried out on your site are done in the safest manner possible.

The responsible person for a building requiring a fire alarm is required under the RRO to have that system maintained on a regular basis by a competent party. In most buildings, this means having the system serviced on a 6 monthly basis.
Sentinel are fully equipped to serve your maintenance needs. On every maintenance visit we will provide a certificate showing what has been tested as well as a condition report allowing you to monitor the condition of your system. We can also make any recommendations on additions, modifications and upgrade works required.

We appreciate that no matter how good a product is, from time to time it will become faulty. Sentinel are able to provide fault finding and repair services on an ad-hoc basis or under a service agreement. We use a network of specialist suppliers meaning that we can supply spares and replacements in a very short time frame ensuring that your fire alarm is healthy again in the shortest time frame possible. All of our team have access to the latest diagnostic equipment and tools meaning that no fault is too much of a challenge for us.
We are also able to offer quotations for minor installation works and alterations. If the use of your building changes, your fire alarm may have to as well and we are happy to advise on what is needed to ensure you are fully compliant.


Sentinel are able to provide you with replacement and service of your current portable extinguishers. We can also offer disposal of your old units.
